My first read by A.L. Jackson. I've been missing out on some great writing and plan on exploring more of A.L. Jackson's books soon. Her writing captures you and puts you into the story. The love and loss make your heart hurt and heal.

Frankie Leigh steals the show with her innocence and super fun personality. She's someone I hope my daughter turns out like. Rex has had things go wrong in his life and has a heart of cement. After being away for years Rynna returns to take care of business. She discovers a couple great new friends after returning.

It's interesting how life throws obstacles at you, but the joy in the journey is what you find after you've conquered the obstacles. Having lived in the same town but on opposite sides Rex and Rynna never ran into each other. Now that he lives across the street from her what will happen when their paths are constantly crossing.
